  • Users are encouraged to inform Nu Home of any content that may be offensive or illegal.

  • You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders if fraudulent or abusive behaviour is suspected.
  • Neither Nu Home nor any of our agents or representatives shall be liable for any damage, loss or liability of whatsoever nature arising from the use or inability to use this website or the services or content provided from and through this website. Furthermore, Nu Home makes no representations or warranties, implied or otherwise, that, amongst others, the content, images and technology available from this website are free from errors or omissions or that the service will be 100% uninterrupted and error-free. Users are encouraged to report any possible malfunctions and errors to Nu Home.

Products & Pricing

  • All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and inclusive of VAT, unless otherwise stated.
  • We reserve the right to change prices or discontinue products at any time.
  • Prices are only valid on the website and not in store.
  • Prices on the website may differ from in-store.
  • EO&E-Errors Omissions & Excepted-all precautions will be taken to provide correct pricing and images on this site, however, in the event that an error does occur, no liability can be held against the company to provide such products at such pricing.
  • A handling fee of up to 15% will be applied if the item is opened and used , subject to Nu Home’s discretion.

PAYMENT

  • By submitting payment information, you confirm you are authorized to use the chosen payment method.
  • At the time of placing the order, the transaction details are presented to the bank and an authorisation is obtained for the amount of the order.

DELIVERY AREAS

  • We deliver to specific areas. Please confirm delivery availability before placing order.

DELIVERY TIME FRAMES

  • Standard delivery: 2-4 working days
  • Express delivery: 1-2 working days
  • Custom delivery arrangements can be made upon request

COLLECTIONS

  • We offer a collection option for  customers who would rather collect than have it delivered. Selecting the collection option is free and you will not be charged a delivery fee. Once we have received your order and confirmed stock availability within the store as per your preference, we will process the order and send you a confirmation email with your invoice number to collect at the store.
  • Upon collection – the unit needs to be unpackaged and checked to ensure unit is in 100% condition (no scratches or dents) and all accessories available before leaving the Nu Home premises.
  • Kindly note the dimensions and weight of your purchase to ensure you have suitable transportation means. You may request these details from our store.
  • At Nu Home, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.

AGREEMENT OF SALE

  • An agreement of sale between Nu Home and a user only comes into effect if and when:
  • A credit card authorization is received from the issuing bank
  • A deposit of an electronic transfer is reflected on Nu Home’s bank statement (and only if such payment is received within 5 working days after completion of the purchase cycle
  • Nu Home reserves the right to refuse to accept and/or execute an order without giving any reasons. Nu Home also reserves the right to cancel orders, in whole or in part, as circumstances dictate. Nu Home shall only be liable to refund monies already paid by the user.
  • Nu Home shall take all reasonable efforts to maintain correct prices.However , should an error occur and items are offered at incorrect prices,Nu Home will not be obliged to sell goods at such incorrect prices and shall only be liable to refund monies already paid by the user

STOCK AVAILABILITY

  • Stock of all goods on offer are limited. Nu Home shall take all reasonable efforts to discontinue the offer as soon as the stock is no longer available.
  • However should items still be offered after stocks are sold , Nu Home shall only be liable to refund monies where it is unable to fulfil orders at advertised prices

GUARANTEES:

GUARANTEES ARE FROM THE MANUFACTURER AND NOT FROM NU HOME (THE SELLER)

  • A proof of purchase is required when any guarantee claim is logged
  • All guarantees are factory repair guarantees and therefore will be at the sole discretion of the relevant supplier. Warrantees differ per product, please check with the store for warrantee periods for the product you have purchased.
  • In the event of a warrantee /guarantee claim , the timing of inspections, authorisations and physical repairs are solely dependent on supplier schedules and may be affected during holidays(e.g Easter/Festive season)
  • The purchaser indemnifies the seller against any patent and latent defects .
  • All items, unless otherwise stated are for domestic use, therefore if items are abused, mishandled etc, or used for commercial purposes e.g. Home industries, Guest Houses ect , the guarantee is null and void. 
  • In the event of an exchange or repair, the guarantee period of the item remains from the original date of purchase.
  • Warranty policy does not cover the below :
    • Failure by the customer to comply with the manufacturer’s instructions for installation, maintenance or general operation
    • Any defect in wiring, electrical connections or plumbing, which does not form part of the appliance at the time of the original purchase or caused by power outages, load shedding and electrical surges.
    • Neglect misuse, or wilful abuse of the item
    • Rust or effect of rust and corrosion
    • Parts exposed to wear and tear, for example, batteries, filters, fuses, light bulbs, racks, shelves, and trays.
    • Damages to  glass surfaces including Ceran tops
    • Infestation by insects or animals.
    • All remote controls

GOVERNING LAW

  • These Terms are governed by South African law. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of South African courts.
